Cheap, TRULY All Natural Hair Routine

Don't you hate spending tons of money on natural hair products to bring them home and they not work? The real kicker is when you start dissecting the ingredient list to find out the products are not truly  natural.

Not only do I want products that use ingredients that are natural and work, but I also care about the brands integrity, or in a lot of cases lack of. Although they are within legal scope to deceive potential customers into buying their product via marketing gimmicks, that shows how far they are willing to go to make a quick buck off of us, the consumers.

I don't mind paying for a good product, natural or not. I do, however, mind when companies use loopholes to lie about what their products truly are made of. We end up paying premium prices for sub-par crap.

I had enough of the natural products not working and draining my wallet. I had enough of the cheap commercial products somewhat working while irritating my scalp. (I majorly loathed using commercial products for their highly synthetic fragrance.)

That's when I learned that moisturizing black hair didn't have to be challenging or expensive. I could use basic ingredients that most kitchens have to properly care for hair easily, affordably, and truly naturally.(link)

Since the end of last year, I have been using these "products" with this routine.

What I Use

  • natural castile soap
  • vinegar
  • oil

What I Do
  1. Lather hair using castile soap. Rinse.
  2. Massage vinegar into hair and scalp well. Rinse.
  3. Apply enough oil to condition the scalp and lightly coat the hair. Style
That's all that it takes.

I have been doing this for the past few months(although I did veer off of the path for a few weeks trying out new product that was a total f a i l) and I have been loving the results. This is a no-frills cheap and effective way for taking care of black hair.

Try it out and let me know how it goes.
